Matrimony operates Matrimony. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Your name, date of birth, gender, phone number and email address.
• Community, education, occupation, family and location details you enter.
• Birth date, time and place, if you choose to add horoscope details.
• Photographs you upload.
• Payment records — we never store your card or UPI credentials.
• For identity verification we store only the last four digits of the document and a verified flag. We never store the document image or the full number.

Why we collect it

To show your profile to other members searching for a partner, to operate your account, to take payment, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Your consent

We record the date, time and IP address at which you gave consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

Deleting your account

When you request deletion your profile is hidden immediately and your data is permanently erased after 30 days, except records we are required by law to keep, such as tax invoices.
